I may have mentioned once before in my Glog that he is not very smart – about as smart as a tramp in a shell suit – but honestly, all he ever does is moan! I mean, what’s the flamin’ problem? So I like a little roll around when I’m out for a walk … everyone has their own little likes. All he does is moan about what I might roll in and what I’m going to smell like. I mean, it isn’t as if I’m not discerning in my selection of places to roll about. The photo here was when I had a lovely roll about in the parking area when we went to the farmers’ market at Penshurst Place. Actually, the visit to the farmers’ market at Penshurst Place wasn’t entirely a success if I’m perfectly honest. I mean, don’t misunderstand me, I had a lovely time but I got into terrible twubble too. I mean, quite apart from my little roll around in the freshly cut grass, I was really quite excited. As usual they were far too slow so I had to drag him along behind me all I could hear was him calling my name more and more angrily. If he wasn’t so grumpy, I might be more inclined to do what he wants! I don’t mean I would do what he wants but I might be a bit more inclined to!

Anyway, back to our visit to Penshurst Place. So, I was really excited and I wanted to see and sniff everything. I dragged him behind me and then I discovered that there were several meat stalls. Well, what was I supposed to do? I tried so hard to get at that meat but he wouldn’t let me. I barked at him (and anyone else I saw) and he just wouldn’t listen. He just got more and more irritable, I don’t know why. Even Daddy Richard seemed a bit tetchy. They bought some lamb and some steak and then we left. For some strange reason they didn’t seem too keen on staying, I don’t know why. Instead of going straight home we went for a walk in to the village. I heard him mumble something about tiring him out – I’m not sure who he was referring to. Anyway, we walked all the way through the village and back again and I got into twubble again when I hopped off the pavement because I thought there was something worth eating on the side of the road. There was a car thingy coming and they both shouted at me. He dragged me back onto the pavement and honestly, I thought he was going to burst a blood vessel. The language was enough to make even a Rottweiler blush!! Even Daddy Richard shouted at me. I wouldn’t mind but what I had seen wasn’t edible anyway!
The week before we went to Penshurst Place we had been to the Edenbridge and Oxted Show where I had got into twubble again. The day before we went to the Edenbridge and Oxted Show I had been out for a long walk with my bestest friend in the whole wide world, Jake, and frankly I was a bit cream crackered. So on the day of the show I decided to lay down for a rest … every 25 feet! I was getting loads of attention from people who thought I was really cute and handsome laying down. They weren’t quite so happy. He was moaning as usual but even Daddy Richard wasn’t very happy for some reason. We walked all around the show and then we went into the pavilion so that we could have a sit down – I know, ironic isn’t it that all I had been trying to do all morning was have a lay down and now we went into the pavilion and I was encouraged to lay down! I did lay down but when I discovered there were horses in the main arena I couldn’t help myself, I had to have a jolly good bark! So, we left the pavilion and walked back around the show but eventually we left and went home. They blamed it on my, of course. They said it was something to do with me laying down but I can’t see why that made any difference!
The day after we went to the Edenbridge and Oxted Show it was the village fete. They went off in the morning to set up (whatever that is) and I had to stay at home but it wasn’t that long before Nana and Grandad arrived, so I got to spend more quality time with Grandad. In the afternoon Daddy Richard came and took me down to The Green which was nice. I walked with him and Nana around one half of the fete but then we arrived at one of the stalls where he was sitting. Daddy Richard left me with him and went off with Nana. There were loads and loads of dogs there. I think it was because there was a dog show as part of the fete. Anyway, I decided I would bark at every dog that I saw. That didn’t go down very well. After a little while, when I had barked at about 100 dogs, he got all grumpy again and took me home. Grandad wasn’t there because he had gone to the fete with Nana so I had to look after the house all on my own. I didn’t mind, it gave me a break from him!

Yesterday we went to Reigate Hill. I haven’t been there for ages! I had a luvely time. The car park was really, really busy and I didn’t think we would find anywhere to park, but then a space came up on the side of the road and we nipped in there. I don’t know where all the people go, they seem to congregate in the car park but you never see them on the paths. It won’t come as any surprise that he got all grumpy when I found some lovely mud and a puddle to jump around in! He clearly doesn’t understand that it’s the law – you have to jump around in the mud and the puddle! Ok, so I got dirty feet but I don’t clean the carpets anyway, so what do I care!! They were both moaning that I smell a bit ‘dog’ at the moment. I’m not positive but I am fairly sure I heard something about him making an appointment for me to have a bath. Oh dear! I’ve also heard a rumour that I might be going to visit Uncle Don soon too. That’ll be fun! So, I guess I’ll just have to be more selective about where I lay down, maybe I’ll keep it to when I’m out with Daddy Richard … he doesn’t moan nearly as much as him. Mind you, all this talk of walks is making me tired. I think I shall have to go and push out a few 💤s, so, for now, must paws … 🐾
