About

My name is Monty and I am a rescue dog from Dog’s Trust. I am a Golden Retriever that had a bit of a dodgy start in life. I was born in a Welsh puppy farm and originally adopted into a family that wanted to look after me. Unfortunately, I suffer from a genetic disorder called Hip Dysplasia which means that I am ultimately going to need a lot of treatment – probably one, or even both, total hip replacements. I am not sure what the reason was that my first family couldn’t keep me anymore but my treatment could be very expensive and maybe they couldn’t afford it. Anyway, it doesn’t matter now because I have been adopted into a new family who love me and will look after me, no matter what!

When my first family gave me up I went to live at the Dog’s Trust. The people there were very nice to me and looked after me really well, but what I really wanted was to go to a new home. Some people are reluctant to take me on because of my hip problems, but eventually I met Alex and Richard. We all fell in love on our first meeting and it was only a matter of a few days before I moved to my forever home with them. I am very happy now and so are they!

This is my blog. I don’t know how often I will post on here, but I think there might be some things I want to say. If I have something to say, I will post it one here!
