Oh my woof! Since I came out of the hospickle on Saturday, I have had to behave so well! On Saturday evening Bren and Cathy (Mrs Cheese) came for dinner. I spent most of the day in the lounge pushing out ????s because they were both busy. Richard was doing something that involved boxes and taking things out of them (I do this with my toys, but I don’t think these were toys) then he put them in cupboards or bags – I think this is called ‘sorting things out’. He spent the afternoon doing that cooking thing he does. Apparently he was making ‘Lamb Rogan Josh’ and ‘Murg Methi’ – nope, I have no idea! Anyway, neither of these activities involved me and, since I am not allowed to do hardly anything, I decided pushing out ????s was the best alternative. Apparently the food was good and, as usual, a fair amount of incohol was imbibed during the course of the evening. I had to keep my lampshade on all the time which was horrible! Even when we all went to bed I still to wear my flamin’ lampshade – I don’t think they realise just how uncomfortable it is … and I can’t even lick my wound (which apparently is the point of the lampshade, but it doesn’t make it any more fun for me!).

Sunday was a quiet day. He spent much of it fiddling about with my blog. I find this somewhat worrying as I don’t really like him touching it because he can’t be trusted not to muck it up! Apparently it had something to do with the lovely comments that people leave for me. When I (or someone else) replies to a comment, the original person who commented doesn’t get notified that I have replied. He noticed this when Uncle Don said “If you don’t behave this time they will have to get you a child’s play pen to constrain you, so be careful!” Well, this had two consequences. Firstly he spent most of the day trying to make it work slightly differently so that people who comment get notified of any responses – he tried about 20 different plugins before he settled on one that then took hours to configure, so I hope it works OK now. Secondly, he only went and ordered a blinkin’ play pen! Thanks Uncle Don! Now I am even more restricted in where I can go in the lounge!

I am allowed to go out for short walks of no more than 10 minutes. I only get to walk as far as the entrance to the allotments, but at least it is something! Mind you, on Monday when Richard was at work, you should have seen him struggling with the lead, the sling, a full poo bag, his phone and me trying to pull like a freight train! I was laughing my paws off! At the moment I have to be carried up and down stairs and that is doing wonders for his physiotherapy on his arms – I think he’s going to be going for a very long time! On Tuesday I went to see my personal surgeon, Bonito de la Puerta, and he was pleased with my progress and said I could lose the lampshade – it makes life so much better without the lampshade! After visiting my personal surgeon, his friend Nicola came to see him and we went to the pub for a sandwich. He discovered one of the problems with the sling is timing … he needs to whip it off just in time when I want a wee. He got the timing wrong on the way to the pub and again on the way back. That washing machine was going ten to the dozen in the afternoon!

Today it is Wednesday. I have already been out for a walk and we went to Sniff Central. He did take my sling off when we got there so that I could have a good sniff around and a wee at no risk! He has to go to London for a meeting this afternoon to Mrs Cheese and my lovely Auntie Zena are coming to spend some quality time with me. Talking of going to London, I think I may have mentioned in the past, he isn’t all that bright … the aerial’s up but there’s no reception, if you get my gist! Anyway, he has arranged for them both and Bren and Mrs Cheese to go to London on Saturday night to a theatre (I think they have been to one of those before) but he hasn’t yet worked out how he is going to get someone to look after me! If any of my friends are available, he would be really grateful! I don’t need to walk and I am generally very well behaved!!! Anyway, he needs to get changed for his meeting in London so, for now, must paws … ????
